Patricia L. Thill

Evansville – Patricia L. Thill (Homme), a longtime resident of the Evansville MN area, passed away. Born in 1946, Patty grew up in the Evansville area (Daughter of Knute and Clara Homme; Sister to JoAnne, Betty Lou, Chuck, Tommy and Dennis) before eventually moving to Alexandria, MN where she raised her two sons; Dustin and Damon Thill. Patty loved spending time with her family and friends to include her son, Dustin, daughter-in-law, Kim, and her grandson, Mays. She was fortunate to spend her final years helping raise Mays in Wisconsin.

When we close our eyes and picture an angel, we see Pat. A woman who is so kind, pure, self-less, patient, beautiful and loving. Her legacy is more than just a memory, it’s the love for God Mays has in his heart. It’s the smile on Kim’s face when we say her name. It’s the work ethic Dustin has installed and demonstrates each day. Pat left an impression on everyone she met. Her blue eyes saw purity in everything. She was the one who stopped to smell the roses. She was the one who would say a pray for you when you needed it most. She moved her world to be a part of ours when Mays was born. We will forever be grateful for her self-less acts of kindness. We will forever be grateful for the extreme sacrifices made to make sure Damon and Dustin wanted and needed for nothing. As a single mom she worked 3 jobs, while raising 2 boys, to make sure they never went to bed hungry. She chose not to get assistance because she knew hard work and determination would set a better example for Damon and Dustin. Pat loved to laugh. She loved her childhood and the memories she made with her family. She loved making people happy. She loved to read and get lost in a good book. She loved sitting by the water, with her dog, and enjoying God’s gifts around her. Dustin’s world was literally his mom. Everything he is, that he does and who he loves is because of his mom. We are so thankful for the years we had with her…to share these memoires with you and celebrate her life. Patty would want us smiling, laughing, sharing stories and giving each other hugs. She was the most beautiful person, inside and out.
