Patricia Collen

Patricia A. Collen, age 88, of De Pere, passed away January 10, 2022, surrounded by her family. The daughter of the late Valentine and Rose (Speener) Plouff, Patricia “Pat” was born July 25, 1933, in Little Suamico. She graduated from Nicolet High School in De Pere and worked as a Telephone Operator until becoming a full-time mom and homemaker. On December 27, 1952, she married the love of her life John T. Collen. They were married at St. Joseph Church of De Pere and recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. Pat enjoyed living in Florida in her early retirement years, golfing, and gardening. She was a women who took pride in raising her eight children as well as spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving Patricia are her children: Cynthia Mallien of Green Bay, Robin Ehlert of Freedom, Paul (Kathy) Collen of Greenville, Lonnie (Juli) Collen of De Pere, Martha Peltier (significant other Bill) of De Pere, Peter Collen of Green Bay, Jennifer Collen of De Pere; grandchildren: Ryan Mallien, Sara Freeman, Billy Mallien, Jeremy Raymaker, John Raymaker, Joseph Raymaker, Ashley Monfils, Jenna Meyers, Brandon Collen, Raymond Collen, Leeann Kalinski, Emily Collen, Daniel Peltier; great grandchildren: Landen Freeman, Kaylyn Raymaker, Avery Raymaker, Reese Raymaker, Isabelle, Alani Raymaker, Amelia Raymaker, Amber Lardinois, Lucy Monfils, Lola Monfils, Cecelia Meyers, Asher Meyers, Jasmina Collen, Kyler Pino and Chloe Kalinski; sister: Rose (Quevillon) Plouff; brother-in-law Vern Lindsley.

She was preceded in death by husband: John T. Collen; parents: Valentine and Rose (Speener) Plouff; son: Jeffrey Collen; granddaughter: Hannah Peltier; brothers: Valentine Plouff Jr., Victor Plouff, Donald (Berdie) Plouff, Vernon (Margaret) Plouff, Bernard (Mary) Plouff, David Plouff; sisters: Thelma Kellerman, Edith (Rueben) Aerts, Caroline (Frank) Simoens, Frances (Robert) Stammers, Kathryn (Webber) Unrath; sister-in-law: Mary Lou Lindsley and son-in-law: Mark Ehlert.

Family and friends may visit at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave, Green Bay, on Friday, January 14, from 3:00pm until 3:45pm. A funeral Mass will follow at 4:00pm with Fr. Jim Lucas officiating. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.
