Norman “Bud” Hebel, age 88 of Denmark, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Bud was born in Manitowoc on June 5, 1930 to the late George and Margaret (Dohn) Hebel. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Bud was able to attend the Honor Flight on April 9, 2015 and was a member of the American Legion 363. On August 20, 1954, he married Gerry Swantek in Eaton Wisconsin. Bud worked for the Brown County Highway Department for over 30 years in the Highway Maintenance division.
Bud enjoyed the outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing or camping and spending time at the cabin or just taking the long way home, he was enjoying himself. As a season ticket holder of the Green Bay Packers for many years, he was an avid fan. He also liked bowling and golfing. Bud truly loved his family and mostly enjoyed the time he spent with them.
He is survived by his children; Darren (Sarah) Hebel and Renae (Sean) McNamara, grandchildren; Benjamin (Danielle) Hebel, Brock (Special Friend Chelsea) Hebel and Gregory Werbowsky, great grandchildren; Emma, Brody and Carson. Bud is further survived by his sisters in law; Glady (Victor) Suster, Irma Buchberger and Colleen “Cookie” Collard, brother in law, Carl Arveson as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Bud in death are his parents, his wife, Gerry, brother, Ronald Hebel, brother in law, Robert Buchberger, sisters in law; Esther (Arthur) Clark and Beatrice Arveson.
Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 4pm until a prayer service at 7pm, at Cotter Funeral Home, 536 County Rd R, Denmark. Visitation will begin again at 9am until 10:45 on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at All Saints Catholic Church, 125 St. Claude St, Denmark with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.
