Muley "Skinner" French

Muley “Skinner” Mark French, 63, De Pere, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015 at a local hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born April 29, 1952 in Green Bay, son of the late Melville “Chuck” and Florance (Campbell) French. He graduated from East De Pere High School and NWTC, where he received a degree in Mechanics. Muley served his country in the Unites States Army during the Vietnam War for 3 years in the 1st Calvary. He married Marlene Jean Becks on October 8, 1977 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He worked as a Machine Operator in the Paper/Dairy Industry. Muley was a member of the VFW-Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 224 and Christ Alone Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, camping, boating and hiking. He also enjoyed baking, especially cakes, gunsmithing, watching the Packers, and wrestling. Survivors include his wife, Marlene French; children: Ben (Marian) French, Amanda French, Ashley French; sisters: Marsha (Steve) Rienow and Margot (Bob) Smith; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Dr. Edward S. “Eddy” Orman, Linda Nuthals, Bonnie (Rich) Staffen, Richard Becks, Laurie (Frank) Helebrant, Steve (Sharon) Becks; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Matthew; sisters, Mary and Mildred “Millie”; and brothers: Kenneth “Mex” and Walter “Whoopie”. Family and friends may visit Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m., with the Rev. Dr. Ted L. Tromble officiating.
