Mildred Leona Schuh

Mildred Leona Schuh, age 97, formerly of Shawano and De Pere, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 in West Friendship, Maryland. Born on February 3, 1925 in Bonduel, she was the daughter of the late George and Caroline (Christianson) Dingledein. After graduating from high school, Mildred moved to Los Angeles to work as a welder on Liberty ships during World War II. After the war, Mildred moved to Lunds where she met the love of her life. On February 15, 1947 she was united in marriage to Leland J. Schuh in Shawano. They lived in Shawano through 1960, then their family moved to De Pere until 1983 and returned to Shawano until 2018. The couple enjoyed traveling and wintering in California. Mildred enjoyed the many reunions with her extended family.

Mildred is survived by: her 3 children, David (Sharon) Schuh of Chads Ford, PA, Steven (Frances) Schuh of Cocoa Beach, FL, James Schuh and Lucy Lynn of West Friendship, MD; 8 grandchildren, Michelle Schuh Reilly, Michael (Abby) Schuh, Joseph (Julie) Schuh, John (Natalie) Schuh, Christian and Kellen Fruhwirth, Caitlin (Clay) Steele and Eric Schuh; 8 great-grandchildren, Kyra, Ally, Jack, Layne, Sophie, Avery, Emory and Wynona; 1 great-great grandchild Riley.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Leland: her daughter Cynthia (Tony) Fruhwirth; her parents; and 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

Private family services were held. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care of De Pere is assisting the family with the arrangements.
