Mike Gilson

July 30, 1953 — August 7, 2014

Mike Gilson, age 61, of De Pere, passed away August 7, 2014. He was born July 30, 1953 to Joan and Ralph Gilson. On May 15, 1981, Mike married Donna Parma, and together they shared two children, Matthew and Sara, whom Mike loved to talk about. He was so proud of them and their accomplishments. Mike worked for 23 years as body shop manager at Peterson Ford in Oconto Falls. He loved the Peterson family, and was currently enjoying his retirement. His favorite pastime was riding around in his Flex for hours, in addition to working on and driving his Model A’s. Mike was always willing to help anyone out with their A, and belonged to the Nickle A Region and Cherryland Model A Clubs. He enjoyed going to their meetings and sharing Model A stories. He also loved taking Tess, the family Chihuahua, for walks and playing with her. The neighbor boys, Logyn and Kyler were special to Mike, and he enjoyed talking to them. Survivors include his wife, Donna, son Matthew (special friend Lacie Green) of Florida and daughter Sara of New York; his mother, Joan; sisters: Linda (Bill) Ferris of De Pere, Patti (Mike) Mason of De Pere and Mary (Mike) Watson of Green Bay; a brother, Jim Gilson of Hobart; sister-in-law: Delores Augustian of De Pere, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Ralph, Mike was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, David Parma; his maternal grandparents, Anna and Matthew Riedi; as well as his paternal grandparents, Lenora and Fred Gilson, and Aldolf Jansen.
