Michael L. Vande Walle

November 1, 1955 — April 22, 2024

On April 22, 2024, Michael Vande Walle passed away peacefully in his sleep at Caraton Commons Assisted Living in Green Bay. He was born in Green Bay, WI to Richard and Jean (Matzke) Vande Walle on November 1, 1955.


Michael attended Abbot Pennings High School in West De Pere, graduating in 1974. He served 3 years in the U.S. Army in Fort Carson, CO. Michael worked locally in several restaurants as a chef. He was known for making excellent soup. Michael truly enjoyed reading, cooking, bird watching, gardening, fishing, wildlife, and the Green Bay Packers!


Survivors include his brothers, sisters and spouses; Julie & (Doug) Witt of North Bend, Washington, Pat (Theresa) Vande Walle of De Pere, Sue (Paul) Coenen of Neenah, and Glenn (Heidi) Vande Walle of Milwaukee. Niece and nephews are; Steve (Amanda) Vande Walle, Shawn Coenen, Erin Coenen (Andrew Juneau), Vaughn and Cort Vande Walle.


A private burial will be held for the immediate family at Mount Olivet Cemetery in De Pere.


Our family would like to thank the staff at Caraton Commons and Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care and support.
