Michael E. Fulton

Michael E. Fulton, 56, De Pere, passed away Monday, January 16, 2012, at his home, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born May 27, 1955 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, son of the late Robert and Bette Lou (Johnson) Fulton. He graduated from Southwest High School, Green Bay, in 1973. He married Linda Smet, August 25, 1990. He was a Parts Specialist for Material Handling Equipment Companies most of his life. He loved playing horseshoes, bowling, hunting and cooking. Mike was proud owner of “Fulton’s Happy Tap” where he enjoyed listening to music and watching the big game. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Linda; three children: Jamie (Melissa) Hendricks, Cory (Ann) Hendricks, and Ben (Cheri) Hendricks; grandchildren: Darien, Caleb, Aubrianna, Carter, Brady, and Caden; two brothers, Ken Fulton, and Casey (Stacie) Howarth; Linda’s parents, Jerome and Vera Smet; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Kris (Gary) DeGreef, David (special friend-Debbie) Smet, Dar (Joe) Meurer, Deb (John) Titulaer, Theresa (Roger) VanNuland, John (special friend-Kim) Smet, Paul (Yvette) Smet, Frank Smet, Marie (Jeff) Sonnabend, Beth (Tom) Criss, Alvin (Sue) Smet; two special pets, Molly and Taz; many nieces and nephews; two Godchildren, Kristy Rose and Kylei Whitman; and many friends and patrons of “The Tap”. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bill and Bob Nahrwold; and a nephew Noel. Visitation will be Friday, January 20, 2012, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Chaplain Robin Therese officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. The family extends a special thank you to Mike’s three special friends, Joe, Chuck and Greg; Aurora VNA Hospice, especially Phyllis, Robin, Mary, Sheila, Terry, Val and Sam and the many doctors at Aurora BayCare who helped Michael throughout his illness.
