Maysel A. Christensen

July 31, 1939 — January 21, 2022

Maysel Anne Christensen, age 82 of Denmark, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022. She was born on July 31, 1939 to the late Adolph and Olive Mleziva. She married the late Burnell K. Christensen on October 28, 1961.
After high school Maysel was employed by Mirro Company. Her lifelong love was sewing and quilting. She also had a green thumb, and loved to garden and then can the fruits of her labor. Camping and traveling were favorites after retirement. She was a member of the All Saints Church Alter Society as well as a board member for the Denmark Danish Villa.

Maysel is survived by her children; Sheila (John) Arndt, Denmark, WI, Renee (Aaron Pomplun) Christensen, St Paul, MN, Amy (Richard) Rawson, Waupaca, WI, Brian (Kathy) Christensen, Tisch Mills, WI, Bruce (Christine) Christensen, Cooperstown, WI, Brad (Kristy) Christensen, Wrightstown, WI
Grandchildren; Anna and Matt Arndt, Erin (Cole) TeBeest, Hannah Rawson, Jessica, Cody and Cassandra Christensen, Connar and Heather Christensen, Keyla Christensen
Great-Grandchildren; Jordan Christensen and Jack TeBeest
She is further survived by brothers and sisters; Harvey (Eileen) Mleziva, Marilee Herrmann, Kenneth Mleziva and his friend Arlette Basken, Kathy (Tom) Graycarek, sister-in-law, Joy Mleziva, brother-in-law, Kurt Welsing. As well as many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Maysel was preceded in death by her husband, Burnell Christensen, granddaughter, Julia Christensen, sister, Ione Mleziva and brother, Myron Mleziva.

Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 536 County Rd R, Denmark on Friday, January 28, from 4:00pm until 7:30pm. A parish prayer service will conclude the evening at 7:30pm. Visitation will continue Saturday at All Saints Catholic Church, 145 St. Claude Street, Denmark, from 9:00am until 9:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am with Fr. Xavier Amirtham, O.Praem officiating. Entombment will be private at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.

Maysel’s family would like to thank the neighbors and many friends for her care and support.
