Maxine Krause

Maxine A. Krause (McClanahan), age 92, of Denmark, passed away February 24, 2023, at her home. The daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary (Woods) McClanahan was born August 5, 1930, in Grinnell, Iowa. She graduated West High School and studied two years at the UW-Extension, Green Bay Center. On September 23, 1950, she married Donald Edward Krause at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Milwaukee and he preceded her in death. Maxine worked at HC Prange for a few years while younger, and also sold Stanley Products for a few years. She enjoyed reading, tending her marvelous flower gardens, and truly loved her sons and granddaughters.

She is survived by her sons: Donald (Katherine) Krause of Tracy, CA, Timothy Krause of Denmark, and Andrew (Kathy) Krause of Clintonville; granddaughters: Michelle (Jeremy) Vanden Heuvel of De Pere and Emily Krause of De Pere.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, and her parents, Kenneth and Mary; her in-laws Walter and Catherine Krause.

Private family services will be held. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.
