MaryAnn (Clarence) Vanden Hoogen, 85, of De Pere, went peacefully Sunday, December 1, 2013 with her daughters and family by her side. The daughter of the late John and Mary Ganter was born June 4, 1928 in Seymour. She married Clarence Vanden Hoogen on April 10, 1948, who preceded her in death on October 9, 1991. MaryAnn had a love of gardening and baking, and maintained a pristine yard. You would never find a snow covered sidewalk by her home. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church in De Pere. Survivors include her daughters: Barb Wilmet (Dale Van Ess) and her daughters: Holly (Eric) Flowers-Corpataux and Heather (Jason) LaCourt; Sally (Tom) Timmers and daughter Kaitlen Timmers; Ruth (Sean) Mohr and son, Slye Hardwick; Brenda (Chris) Kalies and children Jenna and Sam Kalies; great-grandchildren: Zoe Corpataux, Keegan LaCourt and Amiya Hardwick; siblings: Harold (Dolores) Ganter, Angie Tronson and Yvonne (Merlin) Jorgensen, son-in-law John Tollefson as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Bev Tollefson, brothers, sisters and other family. Family and friends may visit at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere, on Friday, December 6, from 3:00pm until the hour of Mass at 5:00pm, with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Burial at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, De Pere. Cotter Funeral Home assisting the family.
