Mary Olive (Heyrman) Kleuskens

April 22, 1933 — November 24, 2014

Mary (Heyrman) Kleuskens, 81, of Wrightstown, was unexpectedly united with the Lord on Monday, November 24, 2014, surrounded by her loving family following complications from surgery. The daughter of the late Edward and Josephine (Hazaert) Heyrman was born April 22, 1933. She married John (Bud) Kleuskens on October 15, 1952. Mary and John moved to a small dairy farm north of Wrightstown where they raised their nine children until John’s passing in January, 1974. After John’s death, Mary worked several jobs and cleaned homes to support herself and her family. In her life time Mary was blessed with 23 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren who she loved dearly. She met her special friend, Phillip Miller and they had 17 special years of companionship until his passing in August, 2004. Mary loved spending time with her family and friends, working in her flower gardens, fishing and the Green Bay Packers. She loved playing cards and had several card groups that meet on a regular basis. She never missed an opportunity to visit her sister’s or daughter’s cottage – she loved spending time “up north”, she called it God’s Country. Mary loved life and lived it to the fullest. Mary was the loving mother of: Judy (Don) Vanevenhoven, Dan (Kathy), Diane (Mark) Baumgart, Bonnie (Wayne) VanHandel, Ruth (Bill) Miller, Cindy (Keith) Kohlbeck, Dave (Cindy), John (Deb), Jim (Shelley); grandchildren: Mike (V), Joe (Erin) and Dave Vanevenhoven, Sara (Trent) Bergsten, Nicole (Tony) Dorman, Adam, Patrick and Craig Baumgart, Jason (Nikki) and Jeff (Lainee) VanHandel, Jessica (Jeremy) Verkuilen, Melissa (Adam) Behling, Andy (Jen) Miller, Amanda (Eric) Hegg, Josh and Dillon Kohl beck, Kyle (fiancé Sarah), Karisa, Kory, Kelcie, Chloe, Dereck and Courtney Kleuskens; great-grandchildren: Ethan, Raleigh, Jack, Jovie, Adelyn, Natalie, Rayna, Cameron, Rylan and Hallie. She is further survived by siblings: Evelyn Moore, Betty Vandenlangenberg, Stella Heyrman, Roger (Mary) Heyrman, Dick (Joan) Heyrman and Margaret (Norm) Champeau; John’s family: Marvin (Delores) Leininger. She was preceded in death by her husband John, special friend Phillip Miller; Harvey Moore, Cliff (Delores) Heyrman, Audrey (Harold) Gerrits, Len Vandenlangenberg, Bobby Heyrman, Bill (Marcella) Van Deurzen Marie (Alex) VanderHeiden and Grant Bergsten. Family and friends may visit at St. Clare Parish-St. Paul Site, Wrightstown, on Friday, November 28, from 4:00-7:00pm, with a parish prayer service concluding the evening at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, at the church, from 9:00-10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Saturday. Interment in St. Paul Cemetery, Wrightstown. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences at www.cotterfuneralhome.com Mom, we were so blessed to have you as our mother. You were the glue that held our family together after dad died. You taught us strong values. Mom, you were one of the most generous and hard-working individuals we ever knew. You opened your heart to all you met and you were loved by so many people. Your zest for life was contagious and you never missed an opportunity to enjoy any outing or adventure that came along-whether it would be spending time with our families or card games with your sisters and friends. Our hearts now have a hole that will never be replaced. We love you so much and will miss you until we meet again in heaven.
