Mary Louise (Gretz) Cenefelt

Mary L. Cenefelt, 87, of Denmark, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Rennes Health and Rehab. She was born June 18, 1930 to Frank and Caroline (Holl) Gretz in Denmark. Mary married Royal Cenefelt on January 29, 1949 and he preceded her in death in 2015. She was a member of All Saints Parish and belonged to the Daughters of Isabella, volunteered with the Viking Rescue Squad and was a member of Western Fraternal Life Association. Mary was a playground supervisor at the Denmark Elementary School and was affectionately known as “grandma” by students there. She will be deeply missed by her two daughters Diane (Ross) Degrand, Manitowoc, and Janet Matsuda and her significant other Joe Briggs who live in Green Bay; grand-children Jeff (Michelle) Wessley and Nicole (David) Bull, great-grandchildren Lauryn and Katelyn (Wessley) and Brayden (Bull); two step-grandchildren Brandon and Brittany DeGrand; three sisters: Francis Schmoock, Carole Reznichek, Sarah Schisel and a brother-in-law Harold Prince, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Royal, parents, grand-daughter Jaime, siblings: Jerome, Gale, Warren, Michael, Paulette and Monica, along with many other relatives and friends. Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home-Denmark Chapel, 536 County Road R, Denmark, on Monday, December 11, from 3:00pm until 6:00pm. A parish prayer service will be held at 6:00pm Monday evening. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 9:30am until 10:30am. Friends are then asked to meet for an 11:00am Mass of Christian Burial at All Saints Parish in Denmark with Fr. Kevin Ori officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established. Our family would like to thank the caregivers of Rennes Health and Rehab, Bellin Health and County Rescue for their attentive care.
