Mary Lou Baeten

Mary Lou (Mart) Baeten, 90, Green Bay, died peacefully on November 30, 2010, at St. Nicholas Hospital Hospice in Sheboygan, WI. She was born on February 7, 1920, in Marysville, MO, to the late Albert C. and Mae Mart. She married Harold S. Baeten on September 18, 1943. He preceded her in death on November 4, 1988. Mary Lou has two surviving daughters: Lynne (James) Hagley of Waldo, WI, and Christine (Larry) Metzler of Apopka, FL. There are 10 grandchildren: Todd (Jeannie) Rentmeester, CO; Renee Rentmeester, AZ; Kerri Rentmeester, WI; Jeremy (Tara) Rentmeester, WI; Scott (Maribeth) Hagley, MN; Greg (Laura) Hagley, NH; Rebecca (Ryan) Humphreys, MO; Angela (Philip) Carson, NC; Matthew (Stephanie) Metzler, FL; and Sarah (Peter Ramer, fiancé) Metzler, CO. She was the proud great-grandmother of 10 great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Ariel Rentmeester; Hannah and Isabelle Hagley; Aiden, Mikayla, Tristan and Bethany Carson; Isaac Metzler; and Emma Rentmeester. She was also preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Patricia Ann Rentmeester; one brother, Albert Mart; and five sisters: Alberta Gauthier, Clara Mart, Genevieve Senio, Margaret Mays, and Kathleen Andre. Mary Lou was loved and known for her “spunkiness,” conversational skills, quick wit, and love for the Packers. She will be sadly missed. Family and friends may call at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Saturday, December 11, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John H. Harper officiating and Dr. Scott Hagley, assisting. The family respectfully requests no flowers please. Memorials to St. Nicholas Hospice, Sheboygan, WI, are greatly appreciated.
