Mary Deborah Reedy

Mary Deborah Reedy, 88, of De Pere, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013. The daughter of the late Daniel and Theresa (Finnerty) Summers was born May 23, 1924 in Green Bay. She graduated from Wrightstown High School. On November 15, 1947, she married Gordon Reedy at St. Francis Church in De Pere, where she remained a lifelong member. Mary worked in the food service department at St. Norbert College for 27 years. Survivors include her children: Michael (Jean) Reedy of Green Bay, Mary (Thomas) Griggs of Ada, MI, Theresa (John) Reedy Strous of Oshkosh; grandchildren: Nora and Anna Reedy, Daniel (Jennifer) Frayer-Griggs and their son, Jonah, Christina (Kyle) Gifford and Mary Margaret Strous; brothers-in-law: Ray Pansier of De Pere and Raymond Reedy of Marinette; a special Godchild, Karen Georgeson and the Weisnicht girls; a cousin, Irene Summers; special friends and neighbors, Rose and Steve Arbes; her friends from St. Norbert College, especially Marlene Winter; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: an infant sister; her husband, Gordon on June 10, 1978 and a daughter, JoAnn on March 18, 1997; in-laws: Mary (Floyd) Weisnicht, Helen Pansier, Joseph (Rosella) Reedy, Frances Reedy and Dorothy (Harry) Heraly. Family and friends may visit at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St, De Pere, on Saturday, March 16, from 9:00am until the hour of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Saturday, with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Interment in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, De Pere.
