Mary Buechel

Mary Ellen Buechel Mary Ellen Buechel, Kaukauna, formerly of the Town of Lawrence, age 78, died as a result of a brief illness on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at ThedaCare Medical Center, Appleton. She was born in Green Bay on November 30, 1938 to Joseph and Rosella (Walsh) Buechel. Mary was a quiet and kind person who lived a simple life. Mary was the eldest of seven children, and helped to raise her siblings--with somewhat questionable results! She was employed as a bookkeeper for Vercauteren Lumber in De Pere most of her working life. She enjoyed reading, bingo, puzzles and card games. She especially loved to give gifts to her family and friends. Mary is survived by her siblings: Ann Buechel, Kaukauna; Phylis (Ronald) Schaeuble, Darboy; Sheila (James Lanz, friend) Paschke, Sauk Rapids, MN; Peter (Barbara) Buechel, Kaukauna; Carolyn (Kenneth) Whitehurst, Southaven, MS; Daniel (Diana) Buechel, Appleton. She is further survived by five nieces and 12 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-in-law Brent Paschke. Family and friends may visit at St. Clare Parish-St. Paul Site, 437 Main Street, Wrightstown, on Wednesday, July 26, from 3:00pm until 4:45pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 5:00pm with the Rev. Brian Wideman officiating. Burial in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, Wrightstown.
