Mary Beth (Price) Jones

Mary Beth (Price) Jones, age 83, longtime resident of Allouez, passed away Wednesday December 17, 2014 at Angel’s Touch Assisted Living. She was born December 22, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Leo Price Sr. and Edna (Halpin) Price. She graduated from St. Gregory High School, and studied Theology at St. Norbert College. Mary Beth married Ronald Jones February 5, 1955 in Chicago, and in 1968 they moved to Allouez. She worked as Director of Religious Education at Resurrection Catholic Parish for more than 20 years, and after retiring worked doing spiritual guidance at the St. Norbert Abbey. Her passions were her faith, gardening, women’s rights, and especially her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Ronald; her daughter Catherine Jones (Richard Neupert) and their daughter, Sophie Neupert of Athens, GA; her son Thomas Jones (Betty) of Allouez; her son Matthew Jones (Holly Bonnicksen-Jones) of Mount Horeb, WI and their children: Emily Jones and Meghan Jones of Madison, WI; her son Daniel Jones (Lisa Stark-Jones) and their children: Sam Jones and Liam Jones of Bellevue; her daughter-in-law Robbyn Jones of Sikeston, MO; her sister Edna Pauly of Withee, WI; her brother John Price (Patricia) of Schaumburg, IL; brother Edward Price (Mary) of Palatine, IL; brother-in-law Charles Jones (Joan) of Mundelein, IL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her parents-in-law Vaughn and Anna Mae Jones; her brother Leo Price, Jr. and his wife, Marge Price; her brother-in-law George Pauly; and her son Larry Jones. Family and friends may visit at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez, on Sunday, December 21, from 4:00-6:00pm. A parish prayer service will conclude the evening at 6:00pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, at the church, from 10:00-10:45am. Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am on Monday, with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating and Fr. James Feely concelebrating.
