Marion A. (Dollar) Van Rens, 93, Green Bay, passed away Saturday, October 02, 2010, at Angel’s Touch in De Pere, daughter of the late John and Lydia (Matzke) Dollar was born on October 23, 1916. Marion and the late Wilbert “Bill” Van Rens married on June 16, 1945, at St. Mary Catholic Church in De Pere, and he preceded her in death on February 10, 1996. The couple were diary farmers until their retirement. In her retirement, Marion enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her five daughters, Donna Van Rens, De Pere; Gail and Richard Schommer, De Pere, and their children, Jessica and Stacy; Barbara and Kenn Ferron, Mequon, and their children, Brad and Karri; Cynthia and Carl Thiem, De Pere, and their children, Ashley and Alex; Valerie Jerabek, Green Bay, and her son, Jason; two sons, William “Bill” and Carol Van Rens, De Pere, and their children, Bill Jr., Bryan, and Bob; Jeffrey Van Rens and Colleen Johnson, Green Bay, and his children, Joe, Jennifer, Jil, Andy, and Becky; a brother, John and Mary Dollar; 14 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many special friends. Family and friends may call Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Community, Pope John XXIII Circle, off Sportsman Dr., Town of Ledgeview. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at church. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family.
