Marcia (La Luzerne) Thompson

Marcia Thompson, 61, De Pere, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 8, 2017. Marcia was the daughter of the late Robert and Claire (Grotelueschen) La Luzerne. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jeff, and a brother-in-law, Brian. Marcia met her love, partner and soulmate Doug Thompson and they were married on October 6, 1979 at St John Lutheran Church in De Pere. She worked most recently at RR Donnelly where she had many friends. She loved to sew, spend time with her children and grandchildren, meet and talk to new people, and to have friends and family over for food, cards, and conversation every Friday night. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandma. Marcia will lovingly be remembered by her husband Doug. Their children: Nicholas Thompson; Nathan and Kristen Thompson, and their children Christopher and Claire. Marcia is also remembered by her siblings and their spouses: Donna Magness (Darrell-deceased), Jim and Sandi La Luzerne, Gerry and Terrie La Luzerne, Robin La Luzerne, Paul La Luzerne, Mark and Mary La Luzerne; Sister-in-law, Stephaney La Luzerne. Mother-in-law Bernice Lindblom. Doug’s sibling’s: Pam and Jim Lundbohm, Greg and Stephanie Thompson, Sister-in-law Sheri Thompson, numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends. Family and friends may call at Cotter Funeral Home 860 N. Webster Ave, De Pere from 3:00pm until 5:00pm on Thursday, July 13, 2017. A celebration of Marcia’s life will be held at 5:00pm.
