Lynn Richard Baumann

October 7, 1943 — December 12, 2018

Lynn Richard Baumann, age 75, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2018 at his De Pere home surrounded by his beloved family. He was born in Green Bay on October 7th, 1943 to the late Richard A. and Bernice L. (Eggers) Baumann.

Lynn was a graduate of Green Bay West High, class of 1962. After high school he went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1966. From there he joined the United States Army where he served his country for two years. He spent most of his working days at the United States Postal Service before retiring after 30 years there.

On June 10, 1978 he married the love of his life, Judith and was able to celebrate 40 great years of marriage earlier this year. Much of their time together was spent at their cabin up north on Crooked Lake where they first met. Lynn was also a long time member of the Crooked Lake Sportsmen’s Club.

Lynn enjoyed fishing, gardening, picking wild asparagus and flowers for his beloved wife, Judy, crossword puzzles, bird watching, journaling, watching his favorite teams; the Packers and Cubs and most of all, spending time up at the cabin on Crooked Lake.

He is survived by his wife, Judith (Longlais) Baumann, De Pere; children, Rich (Shannon) Baumann, Andy Baumann (Valerie) and her sons Caleb and Lucas, De Pere; sister-in-law, Kay Baumann, Green Bay; sister-in-law, Sue (Jeff) Schneider, De Pere; brothers-in-law, Doug (MaryAnn) Longlais, De Pere; Larry (Bobbi) Longlais, De Pere; Jeff (Tammy) Longlais, De Pere; Jerry (Mary) Longlais, (Milwaukee); many nieces and nephews and his grand dog Scruffers.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Lawrence Baumann.

Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave, De Pere, on Saturday, December 15, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at which time, military funeral honors will be performed. Cotter Funeral Home and Cremation Care is assisting the family.

Lynn’s family would like to thank the staff at Aurora for their care and concern.
