Lyle G. Peterson, 71, Denmark, went peacefully home to meet the Lord on June 11, 2011, with his family by his side at Bellin Hospital, following a short illness. Lyle was born August 25, 1939 in Green Bay, WI, to the late Earl and Arline (Larsen) Peterson. He attended Denmark High School, graduating in 1957, and enlisted in the National Guard in 1957. He held various jobs and was employed with Agri Link Foods for 34 years, retiring in 2002. He married Janice Timm on October 23, 1965. Lyle enjoyed being able to do outdoor work and gardening, such as keeping the Eastside Danish Cemetery looking great. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed attending all his grandkids’ sporting and school events. He was very proud of his family. He loved playing cards at the Senior Center, volunteering for meal delivery, and loved listening to Polka music. Lyle was always willing to help anyone—he loved his church and his Lord. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Janice; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie (Jerry) Kralovetz, and Lori (Doug) Prevost; and three grandchildren: Cory, Travis and Leah, who will miss him dearly. He is also survived by one sister, Lynn Paider, Mishicot; one brother, Kevin Peterson, Chicago; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorna and Jerry Mack, and Doris and Glenn Griepentrog; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron and Mary Timm, Robert and Pam Timm; aunts: June Larsen, Nancy Larsen, Lorraine Zeamer and Ruth Pantzlaff; one uncle, Harris Schlies; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother and father-in-law, Art and Norma Timm; one sister, Pastor Jan Peterson, who preceded him in death 12 days earlier; and one brother-in-law, Ben Paider. Friends may call Monday, June 13, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Cty R, Denmark. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Denmark, with the Rev. Beth Macha officiating. Lyle will be laid to rest at Eastside Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff and Doctors at Bellin Hospital for the special care and love you showed to our husband and dad.
