Luke Mitchael Watzka “Fudge”, 16, Denmark, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 24, 2012, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born August 17, 1995 in Green Bay, son of Martin and Rita Heiser-Watzka. He was a junior at Denmark High School, where he was in involved in football, baseball, and wrestling; lettering in football and wrestling. Luke enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, being around his family and friends, and most of all making people smile. He will be deeply missed by his parents, Martin and Rita; two brothers, Matt Watzka, at home, and Seth (special friend-Kara) Watzka, Minneapolis; paternal grandparents, Jerome and Mary Watzka; paternal aunts and uncles: Rick and Stacy Watzka, Two Rivers, Bill and Amy Watzka, Denmark, Deanna and Chris Tilot, Denmark, Dolly and Jon Robb, Green Bay, Amy and Dan Bornemann, Neenah, Henry and Jill Watzka, Green Bay, Jesse and Jennie Watzka, Denmark, Jason Watzka, Appleton, and Naomi and Mike Bachmeyer, Janesville; maternal aunts and uncles: Robert and Trudy Heiser, Mary Heiser and special friend, Bruce, Madison, Janet Heiser, Manitowoc, and John and Mary Ellen Heiser, Denmark; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leo and Helen Heiser; an aunt, Karen Heiser; and special dog, Sparky. Family and friends may call Wednesday, March 28, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Cty R, Denmark, where there will be a Parish Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until the procession leaves for St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. at church, with Fr. Ron Colombo officiating. He will be laid to rest at the church cemetery.
