Luke Foelske

Luke A. Foelske, age 34, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016. The son of John and Patricia Foelske was born September 6, 1981. He graduated from Denmark High School in 2000, where he participated in track and field. Luke worked as a Systems Engineer at the United States Department of Agriculture. Luke was fondly known as a “big gentle bear” due to his remarkable sense of humor, kind and compassionate demeanor and his selflessness. A talented programmer, he consistently amazed others with his computer skills. He was well known under the screen name “craysh” in the online-only first person shooter game “Destiny.” Luke will be fondly remembered in the Destiny community and as a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend. Survivors include his mother, Patricia of Sheboygan; sister Sarah (Jon Hoffman) Foelske of Sheboygan, brother Aaron (Christopher Houston) Foelske of New York City, nephew and niece: Alex and Kaitlyn Mueller; aunts and uncles: Mike (Nancy) Foelske of Sheboygan, Jim Foelske of Hartford, Kathee Gosnell of Rice Lake, Janet (Jack) Woodall of Tomahawk, Nancy (Donald) Colligan of Waupaca, Kathleen Schnetzer and her son Christopher Van Hueklon of Appleton, Barbara (Jim) Van Den Boogard of Morrison and Steve (Mary) Mc Hugh of Madeline Island. He is further survived by friends Jozef Hanratty and Linda Hanratty, who provided Luke with a wonderful home and great friendship in Kansas City. He was preceded in death by his father, John. Family and friends may visit at St. James Catholic Church, 18228 County Road R, Cooperstown, on Monday, February 22, from 9:00am until the time of prayer service at 10:30am with Sister Gerri Krautkramer officiating.
