Lucille M. Leanna

June 19, 1948 — June 6, 2020

Lucille (Lucy) M. Leanna, age 71, Denmark resident, collapsed and died unexpectedly the morning of June 6, 2020, shortly after she awoke to start another normal day of helping others. The daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Rozmarynowski) Kolanchick was born June 19, 1948 in Green Bay. She married James Leanna on August 3, 1973 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Glenmore.
In her earlier years, she worked at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, WI as an aide/helper helping patients recover after surgery between the surgical ward & the recovery ward. She later worked at Rennes Health and Rehab Center as a Certified Nursing Aide and then retired from Humana in the Food Service. She spent her retired years helping to take care of her grandchildren.
Her greatest loves were her husband, children and grandchildren. Spending time with them was her favorite pastime. She enjoyed: shopping, going to rummages sales, reading, going out to eat with friends and family, and sitting outside on the porch with her cats. She was a role model of a loving, caring person helping family, friends, and strangers (which usually became friends) alike. She made the best canned pickles, beets, tomato sauce, and jam. You always felt welcome in her home. She was always willing to help anyone.
Survived by husband James Leanna, daughter Shelly (John) Landwehr, daughter Valerie (Leanna) Olson, brother-in-law Robert (Margette) Leanna, brother-in-law Bernard (Judith) Leanna, sister-in-law Janet Rohloff, grandson Riley Olson, granddaughter Dakota Landwehr, and many other family and friends
Preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law Ann (Leanna) Brochtrup, brothers Gerald Kolanchick, Angelus Kolanchick, brother-in-law Melvin Rohloff
She will remain forever in our hearts.
At the family’s request, services are private and entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd.
Thank you to the Emergency Responders and Emergency Department at Aurora BayCare Medical Center for caring for her.
