Lorraine Van Wassenhoven, 90, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015. The daughter of the late Herbert and Lucy (Mocco) Thome was born in Oconto. On June 14, 1947, she married Joseph Van Wassenhoven at St. Mary Church, De Pere. He preceded her in death on January 23, 1977. She was employed for 31 years at the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Green Bay. She is survived by one daughter, Jody (Kris Labutzke) Van Wassenhoven, Green Bay; one son, Donald (Barbara) Van Wassenhoven, Bellevue, Nebraska; two granddaughters: Jennifer (Frank) Tudor, Omaha, Nebraska; Elizabeth (Trevor Glup) Van Wassenhoven, Omaha, Nebraska; two great-granddaughters, Isabella Paik and Willa Tudor; two great-grandsons, Franklin Tudor and Keegan Glup; sister, Delores (Gerald) Van Caster, Green Bay; brother, Herbert Jr. (Joan) Thome, Sister Bay; sister-in-law, Loretta Van Wassenhoven; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lorraine was preceded in death by four brothers: Theodore, Arthur, Clarence, Bernard Thome; five sisters: Flora Weigelt, Bernadine Brennan, Leona Mc Cartney, Violet Longsine and Viola Thome. Family and friends may visit Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave, De Pere on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 9:30am until 11:15am. The Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11:30am with Rev. Judah Pigon officiating. Burial will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
