Lorraine R. (Linssen) Albers

Lorraine Rosella Albers, age 88, of De Pere, passed away October 30, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of the late Charles and Mayme (VanDenLangenberg) Linssen was born February 4, 1927 in Bellevue. She was united in marriage to Louis Albers on November 23, 1950 at St. Phillip Catholic Church in Green Bay, and he preceded her in death on November 6, 2006. Lorraine was a life-long member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where she belonged to the Christian Ladies group. Lorraine was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards, word searches, jigsaw puzzles, cross stitching, being outdoors and always looked forward to the 4th of July annual Linssen family reunion. Survivors include her children: Richard (Darlene) Albers, Franklin, WI; Joy (Larry) Watruba, Bellevue; Roger (Cindy) Albers, Savannah, GA; Jim (Judy) Albers, De Pere; Judi (Rudy) Jarvey, Green Bay; eight very special grandchildren: Todd (Tracy), Tara (Sean), Ryan (special friend Tamara), Eric (Andrea), Zach, Kurt (Annie), Josh (fiancé Carlie), Nathan; step grand-children: Terry Johnson and Traye (Quade) Guillory; great-grandchildren: Felicity, Addison, Brenna, Braylon, Isla, Grace; step-great-grandchildren: Toby, Tylei and Allie; sisters and brothers: Beatrice Henrigillis, Eunice Kocken, Bernard (Carole) Linssen, Marion Rukamp, Ruth (Robert) Beining, Ralph (Joyce) Linssen, Beverly (Richard) Huxford and Kenneth (fiancé Carla) Linssen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Russell Schmude, Joanne Linssen, Audrey Albers and Agatha Albers; nieces, nephews and other family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her infant brother Gabriel; siblings: Alvina Schoessow, Marcella Schmude and Merlin Linssen. Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N Webster Ave., De Pere, on Tuesday, November 3, from 4-7pm with a parish prayer service at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview, from 9:30-10:15am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Wednesday with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Online condolences at www.cotterfuneralhome.com In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
