Lorraine Frances (Marion) Cannon

Lorraine Frances Marion Cannon, 84, Allouez, passed away Monday, October 05, 2015 at her home. She was born August 4, 1931 in Wabeno, WI, daughter to the late Louis and C. Helen (Peterson) Marion. Lorraine married Donald James Cannon on April 14, 1951 in De Pere, and he preceded her in death on February 25, 2007. She worked in collections and accounting for Bellin Hospital for 22 years, retiring in 1994. Lorraine enjoyed knitting, especially sweaters, mittens and hats for her boys and their friends. She also liked baking and would make 10 loaves and 2 dozen buns on her days off. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church of De Pere. Survivors include her 2 sons: Daniel J. Cannon, Green Bay and Patrick J. Cannon, De Pere; grandchildren: Shane Costello, Shaunna Cannon, Brett Cannon, Emma Cannon, and Eva Cannon; one great-grandson; sister, Irene (Phil) Gentz, Kenosha; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Cannon; sisters-in-law, Irene Marion, Green Bay, and Germaine Peterson, Green Bay; and many nieces and nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Steven; brother, Louis Marion; sister-in-law, Beth Cannon; and brothers-in-law, Roger Cannon, Harry (Laura) Cannon, and Dennis Cannon. Family and friends may visit First United Presbyterian Church of De Pere, 605 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of funeral service at 4:00 p.m., with the Rev. Luke Farwell officiating. Interment will be in Nicolet Memorial Gardens. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. Memorials may be directed to First United Presbyterian Church or Alzheimer’s Foundation. The family extends a special thank you to Unity Hospice.
