Lorraine D. (Bilodeau) Wegner, 75, Denmark, entered eternal life on Thursday, January 06, 2011 at her home, following a devastating stroke. Lorraine was surrounded by family and friends. She was born February 12, 1935 in Boston, Massachusetts. Daughter of William and Mattie (Robinson) Bilodeau. Lorraine graduated from Somerville High School in 1953, Somerville, MA. She met her husband, Larry, while he was stationed aboard the USS Mitscher in Boston, MA. They were married for 55 years. He passed away February 19, 2010. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who embraced life’s journey with enthusiasm and grace no matter what life had in store for her. “She did it her way”. She had many hobbies…upholstering being her favorite, making old things new again until her stroke in 2008. Lorraine also enjoyed gardening, canning and preserving, camping, and she loved the outdoors. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a homemaker who took great pride in raising her five beautiful daughters. Lorraine is survived by her loving children and grandchildren; Debbie Wegner-Hohensee, Green Bay and her children: Drew (Jennifer), Matthew and Joshua; Elizabeth “Happy” (Ron) Treml, Milwaukee, and her children: Michael and Valerie; Michelle (friend- David Malvitz)Wegner, Denmark, and her children: Damon and Mattie; Audrey (Rick) Bratz, St. Nazianz, and her children: Hannah and Heidi and step-daughter, Rachel; and Alison (Rhod) Fields, Appleton and their children: Jasmine, Quincy, Alexis and Preston. Also survived by her sister-in-law: Barbara Jean Wegner, Denmark, and brother-in-law, James (Susan) Wegner, Suamico. Family and friends may call Sunday, January 9, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Cty R, Denmark, where there will be a Parish Prayer Service at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the procession leaves for All Saints Catholic Church, Denmark. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at church, with Fr. Ron Colombo and Fr. Ralph Merkatoris concelebrating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Lorraine’s name.
