Linda Marie (Ray) Riedi

Linda M. Riedi, 75, De Pere, passed away Sunday April 2, 2017 at her home in the loving presence of her family. The daughter of Clifford and Thelma (Simpson) Ray was born September 10, 1941 in Oregon. On January 21, 1962, Linda married Jim Riedi in Palo Alto, California. Linda enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an excellent quilter and was always starting a new quilting or sewing project. Linda loved to shop for fabric and couldn’t wait to find a new fabric store to explore. She also loved flowers and gardening and would come home with another plant to fit into her already beautiful gardens. Linda was most often seen with a coffee cup in her hand with either coffee or tea and lots of sugar. She enjoyed her two cats, Festus and Sweets and going to the cabin. Linda is survived by her loving husband Jim; Children: Matthew (Roberta)Riedi, Michelle (Mike) Riedi-Baumgartner, Mark (Carrie) Riedi, Rebecca (Jerry) Lambrecht, John (Norine) Riedi, Luke (Cyndi) Riedi, Anna (Chris) Stroud, and Sarah (Chris) Schellhase. Grandchildren: Emma and Duncan Riedi; Zachary, Abigail and Nicholas Baumgartner; Andrew and Benjamin Boncher; Amber Riedi; Caleb and Ava Riedi. Her brother, Calvin (Corrine) Ray. Two sisters-in-law: Joanne Gilson, Mary (Dick) Douville. Nieces and nephews and many friends also survive. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, a brother-in-law Ralph Gilson and her Aunt Muriel Simpson who Linda spent most of her childhood with and was very special to her. Family and friends may visit at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere from 1:00pm to 2:45pm on Friday April 7, 2017. Memorial mass at 3:00pm Friday at the church with Rev.
