Linda Mae Muchow, age 67, died peacefully at home on June 6, 2017 surrounded by her family after losing her courageous battle with an aggressive cholangiocarcinoma cancer. Linda was born March 25, 1950, the daughter and youngest of three to Louis and Edna (Horn) Hartz. Linda was involved in many activities growing up including raising and showing horses in Western Pleasure Class Division in Green Lake, Wisconsin. While working in the corporate office in Reedsburg, Wisconsin of N.E. Isaacson and Associates, Linda met Wayne R. Muchow and they were married on January 6, 1979. They moved to Green Bay where they were blessed with two children, Ryan and Marissa. Both being Linda’s pride and joy and reason for life, Ryan has become a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon for the University of Kentucky and Shriners Hospital for Children in Lexington, KY. Marissa is a Tennis Pro for Lifetime Athletic in Eden Prairie, MN, Head Coach for the Hastings High School (HHS) Girls Tennis team and Assistant Coach for the HHS Boys Tennis team, and substitute teacher for the Hastings School District. Linda adored her grandchildren as they were a special delight in her life. Adelyn, Luke and Connor from Ryan and Claire, and Gabriel with one on the way from Marissa and Adam. Linda is survived by her husband Wayne; son Ryan (Claire); daughter Marissa (Adam); 5 grandchildren: Adelyn (2.5), Gabriel (1.5), Luke (1), Connor (born May 18) and baby Welch (October); sisters-in-law: Ruth Hartz and Debbie Muchow; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Lorraine Muchow; brothers William and Howard; sister-in-law Shirley Hartz and brother-in-law John Muchow. Family and friends may visit at Bethany United Methodist Church, 1110 Echo Lane, Green Bay, on Saturday, June 10, from 10:30am until 11:45am. Service will follow at 12:00 noon with the Rev. Robb McClintock officiating. Private interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, De Pere. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to the Bethany United Methodist Church- Building Fund. Our family would like to acknowledge and extend our deepest gratitude to Green Bay Oncology Clinic and staff that gave such kind and compassionate care to Linda.
