Linda L. Kemper, 57, De Pere, formerly of Racine, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 13, 2013 at her home after a very lengthy illness. She was born in Racine, WI, on December 4, 1955, a daughter of Lorn A. and Betty L. (Buchholz) Gunderson. She graduated from Union High School, Union Grove, in 1974. On April 13, 1991, Linda married Jack Kemper in Racine. Linda held a variety of jobs, but felt she found her true calling working with, and advocating for, special needs children while raising her youngest son, Alex. She was proud of her work as an advocate for special needs children, and her volunteer work at Syble Hopp School and the Miracle League of Green Bay. Linda was fiercely devoted to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed a variety of needle crafts, going to craft shows, and traveling with her husband. Linda is survived by her husband, Jack; 5 children and 9 grandchildren: Chad (Jeni) Cadman of Waterford, and their children - Tanner, Ashton and Madison; Brett (Amanda) Cadman of Racine, and their children - Riley, Emerson, and Xander; Matthew Cadman of Green Bay and his children - Mackenzie and Nevaeh; Daisy Kemper of Chicago, and her daughter - Mia; and Alex Kemper of De Pere. She is also survived by her father, Lorn Gunderson; her mother, Betty Gunderson; sisters: Kathy (Daniel) Squires, SuzAnne (Charles) Majors, and Lorna Mack, and their families; and brothers: David (Kathy) Gunderson and Danny (Eileen) Gunderson, and their families. Linda is further survived by very close friend, Luann Conley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Mildred Kemper; and Jack’s siblings and their families. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Friends and relatives of Linda Kemper may call at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Friday, April 19, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; and at First United Church of Christ, 509 S. Webster Ave. Green Bay, on Saturday, April 20th from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Her Memorial Service will be conducted at the church on Saturday at 1030 a.m. with Rev. Bob Laubenstein officiating. Memorials may be made to Syble Hopp School or the Miracle League of Green Bay. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
