Linda I Mathews Doering

Linda Mathews Doering, age 62 of DePere, passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side on Sunday, March 17, 2019. She was born on November 21, 1956 in Green Bay to Sally (Martin) Mathews and the late Eugene Mathews. Linda worked as a certified medical assistant in the area before her retirement 10 years ago. She enjoyed horseback riding, making miniature doll houses and traveling to Disney World, but she especially loved her time spent spoiling her grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother, Sally Mathews, children; Tami (Mike) Vieaux, Michael (Anne Garcia) Mc Vey and Keri (Chris De Pas) Ver Haagh, grandchildren; Taylor, Cayleen and Hunter Vieaux, Ariel Mc Vey, Addison and Nora Garcia, Brandon and Brooke Ver Haagh and Ethan De Pas. She was awaiting her first great grandchild due in August. Linda is further survived by her brother, Brian (Karen) Mathews, sister, Heidi (John) Zellner, nieces and nephews; Ryan (Alicia) Mathews, Casey (Whitney) Mathews, Mitchell (Ashley Abed) Mathews, Mathew (Kara) Zellner and Ashley (Taylor Anderson) Zellner, great nieces and nephews; Graham, Everett and Jayden as well as many other family and friends.

Preceding Linda in death is her father, Eugene Mathews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N Webster Ave, De Pere. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Linda’s family.
