Lester Joseph “Les” Wrotny, 60, De Pere, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 29, 2012. He was born in Green Bay on September 12, 1951 to Edward and Louise (Rzepka) Wrotny. Les graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point with a Bachelor’s Degree in wildlife. He was an assistant store manager for Sears for over 35 years before occupying his dream job as a manager at Scheels in the outdoor department. Les was an avid outdoorsman; he knew every fish, plant, and bird known to man. Les loved to take his dogs to field trials where they won countless trophies. Les is survived by his loving partner of 19 years, Jayne Ward; her children: Adam Ward (fiancé, Jessica) and his daughter, Marley; and Andrea (Jason) Lettenberger and their children, Jaxon and Brady; two sisters: Marlene (Dave) Zieske and Priscilla (Jon Curtis) Campbell; a brother, Bruce Wrotny (fiancé, Julie Linzmeier); nieces and nephews: Anthony, Pamela, David, Richard, Brianna, Jessica, Shawn, Stephanie, Tim, Lynn, and Peggy; and many great nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster, De Pere on Monday, September 3, 2012 from 3 PM to 6 PM. A prayer service will follow at 6 PM with Pastoral Minister, Steve Donovan, officiating. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
