Leona Jeanette Wozniak

Leona Wozniak, 90, Denmark, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Scandinavian Court Assisted Living. She was born on February 18, 1926 in the town of New Denmark to the late Martin and Mary (Kafka) Wozniak. She farmed with her brother on the family farm until 1980 when they moved into the village of Denmark. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Green Bay. Leona is survived by nieces and nephews: Isabelle Sterletske, Denmark; Betty Honzik, Mishicot; Dorothy Watzka, Green Bay; Eleanore Sloma, Denmark; Oramae Sterletske, King; Bernie and Judy Sloma, Denmark; Ron and Rita Rozmarynoski, Denmark; Dennis Rozmarynoski and Cheri, Denmark. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Frank, Theodore, and Jerome; five sisters and four brothers-in-law: Katherine and Peter Sterletske; Victoria and Andrew Sloma; Frances and Antone Sloma; Rose and Joseph Rozmarynoski; Celia Wozniak; three nieces: Alice and Marie Sterletske; Mary Ann (Ron) Wenzel; four nephews: Ted (Mary) Sterletske; Norb Sloma; Ray Sterletske; Tom (Jean) Rozmarynoski; Harvey Honzik; Roger Watzka. Family and friends may visit at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Road, Green Bay, on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 3:00pm until 4:45pm. The Mass of Christian Burial for Leona will be celebrated at 5:00pm with Rev. Dan Viertel officiating. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Pine Grove. Cotter Funeral Home of Denmark is assisting the family. Thanks also to Courtney who helped transfer Leona to all her appointments and took her out to eat. We really appreciate it!
