Leona Catherine Wagner

Leona C. Wagner, 88, Denmark, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011. She was born November 28, 1922, in the Town of Oakfield, located in Fond du Lac County, to the late Edward and Ella (Dewitz) Wagner. Leona was educated in Fond du Lac County and Oakfield schools. She was employed at St. Agnes Hospital for 34 years, where she was a member of the St. Agnes Sisters Community until she retired in 1990. Leona then moved to Denmark, making her home with her sister Lorraine Zeman, where she was a current member of All Saints Catholic Church and its Christian Mothers Society. Leona was also active with the Denmark Senior Community with socializing and cards. Leona is survived by her sister, Lorraine Zeman, Denmark; cousins, Marvin (Shirley) Dewitz, Fond du Lac; Diane Kuslits and Virginia Dewitz, Oakfield; Joan Wagner, Fond du Lac; and Gary (Sandy) Wagner, Fond du Lac; and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Ella Wagner; grandparents, William and Gertrude Wagner and Otto and Hattie Dewitz; aunts, uncles, and cousins, Wilmer Wagner, Earl Dewitz, Connie Gregory and Bill Kuslits. Friends may call Saturday, April 16, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at All Saints Catholic Church, Denmark. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday at church, with Fr. Ron Colombo officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac.
