Leland Michael Martin

Leland Michael Martin, a loving father, husband, and Grandfather, age 61, of Wrightstown passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2023 from natural causes. Lee was born Sept. 7, 1961 to Robert J. and Lillian M.(Fink) Martin. He married Pamela J. Maes July 25, 1987 and they would have celebrated their 36th Wedding Anniversary this year. Together they have 4 children: Emily (Josh) Windham, their children: Nora, Liam; Melanie (David) Francione, their children Luca and Baby Francione (due in August); Mason (girlfriend, Jordan) Martin and Jackie Martin.

He will be deeply missed by his siblings Richard (Nancy) Martin, Vernon Martin, Paul Martin, Glen (Margaret) Martin John (Rose) Martin, Rita (Carlin) Aerts, Elaine (Gordy) Van Handel, Clarice Hacka, Karen Luebke, and Lillian (Robert) Hotz. His brother-in-laws Tim (Donna) Maes, David (Theresa) Maes, Randy Maes, and sister-in-laws Cheryl (Steve) Otten and Michelle Maes. Also survived by many other friends, family, and numerous nieces and nephews who many thought of him as their favorite uncle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lillian Martin, parent in-laws John & Jeanne Maes, brother-in-laws Edwin Luebke and Gary Maes, sister-in-law Elizabeth Martin and godparents Helen and Aloysius Loehlein.

Lee grew up on a farm in Greenleaf WI while attending Wrightstown Schools. He went on to build his successful business L&M Trucking Inc. He enjoyed parasailing on tropical vacations, four wheeling at the cabin in Winter (WI), playing card games, drinking Mountain Dew and Miller High Life, riding his Harley, dancing to “Little Willy”, singing karaoke, camping, devouring lemon meringue pie, and most importantly telling jokes to bring joy and laughter to everyone. He will be laid to rest joining his good dog Sammie.

Visitation will be held at St. Clare Parish, 437 Main St. Wrightstown, WI 54180, June 7, 2023, from 3pm to 7pm with prayer service at 7pm.

Additional visitation June 8, 2023 from 9am to 10am, with Mass to follow at 10:30.
