Laurella T. Micksch, 84, Bellevue, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 at a local hospital. She was born October 7, 1928 in Goodman, WI, daughter to the late Louis and Pearl (McDonald) Cady. Laurella graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1946. She married Robert J. Micksch on June 12, 1948 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Green Bay. He preceded her in death on September 8, 2009. Laurella’s pride and joy was her family and she was always involved in their lives. She enjoyed golf, bridge, bowling, and Bocce ball. Laurella was a great cook and baker. She was a member of the Fox Valley Golf Club, the Red Hat Women’s Club, and St. Matthew Parish. Survivors include four children: Wayne (Ginger) Micksch, Green Bay; Jan (Chuck) Berrigan, Sobieski; Michael (Jayne) Micksch, Two Rivers; and Mary (Chris) Hughes, Middleton; eight grandchildren: Bill (Michele) Micksch, Green Bay; Katie (Matt) Gelb, Green Bay; Paul (Sonja) Micksch, Madison; Philip (Katie) Micksch, Brillion; Ben (Ashley) Micksch, Manitowoc; Briana Micksch, Two Rivers; Sam Hughes, Middleton; and Noah Hughes, Middleton; six great grandchildren: Abby and Joe Micksch, Ella, Megan, and David Gelb, all of Green Bay, and Henry Micksch, Brillion; sister, Jan Minecke, Green Bay; brother-in-law, Don Van Pee, Mauston, WI; sister-in-law, Erna Cady, Tucson, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. Laurella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; grandson, Jacob Micksch; sisters and brothers: Verna Mae Guay; Elmer Cady, Louis Cady, and Donna Mae Van Boxel. Family and friends may call Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Allouez. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at church, with Fr. Philip Dinh-Van-Thiep officiating. Interment will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
