La Verne Brandenburg

LaVerne Julia-Helena Brandenburg, age 80, Town of Two Rivers, formerly of Morrison, died Wednesday, February 17, 2010. LaVerne Julia-Helena (Staver) was born June 28, 1929 in Maribel to the late Robert and Adela Staver. LaVerne married Ray A. Brandenburg on June 4, 1949 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Maribel. LaVerne and Ray farmed all their lives. LaVerne enjoyed gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her two daughters, Lorna (Lester) Hanson of Green Bay, and Shirley (Rick) Lau of Reedsville; four sons: Glenn Brandenburg of De Pere, Elroy (Bonnie) Brandenburg of Reedsville, Bobby (Barbara) Brandenburg of Brillion, Lee (Darlene) Brandenburg of Niangua, Missouri; 11 grandchildren: Scott and Shawn Brandenburg, Jennifer (John) Griffith, Christine (Mark) Lambert, Kevin (Jennifer) Lau, Michelle Lau, Sara (Joe) Schnell, Wesley Brandenburg, Tyler (Jamie) Brandenburg, Leah Brandenburg, Tyler Naberschnig; 9 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Gerald (Alice) Schwahn of Reedsville. LaVerne was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; her parents; and a daughter, Susie Naberschnig. Family and friends may call Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Collins, 2501 Collins Road. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at church, with the Rev. Robert Hankwitz officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, De Pere.
