Kyle Thomas Sweney

Kyle Thomas Sweney found peace with his Higher Power on Wednesday, February 2, 2011. He was the son of Neil and Diane Sweney, and was born on May 1, 1987. Kyle had a warm smile, a warmer heart and the most beautiful hazel eyes. He most enjoyed being outdoors at Cisco Lake, snowmobiling in the winter and fishing in the summer. He also enjoyed a good round of golf with his dad and sister and music ranging from classic rock to country to rap. Kyle is survived by his parents, his sister Marisa, of whom he was very proud, his loving and supportive grandmothers, “Grandma Louise” Sweney and “Grandma D” Delores VandeVelden, his very special uncle, David VandeVelden (Lakewood), aunts and uncles, David’s wife, Monica, Dan and Charlotte VandeVelden (Abbeville, SC), Peggy and Craig Thielke (Green Bay), Jane (De Pere) and Cathy (Green Bay) VandeVelden, his godparents, Alan and Roxanne Sweney (Ashwaubenon), Jay and Cindy Sweney (Eau Claire) and Brian and Carol Sweney (De Pere); cousins Chris and Chad (fiancé-Carol) VandeVelden, Allison and Matt Bramschreiber, Nick Thielke, Steven VandeVelden, Tyler, Craig and Anne Sweney. He was preceded in death by his “Papa Tom” Sweney, “Grandpa Louie” VandeVelden and his beloved dog, Cisco. Private funeral services were held Saturday at Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere. Fr. Gery Meehan O.Praem and the Rev. John H. Harper officiated.
