Kenneth ""Mex"" French

Kenneth (Mex) French, 62, Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at a Green Bay Hospital. The son of the late Melville (Chuck) and Florence (Campbell) French, was born on May 13, 1949 in Green Bay. Mex served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He repelled out of helicopters for the 1st/9 Calvary Division. For his service to his country he received many honors; Silver Star, Bronze Star V Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Medal, CIB Infantry Badge and 2 Vietnam Campaign Medals. He loved to celebrate the 4th of July and Labor Day. Mex was employed at TNT Pizza Crust for many years. He was a Packer fan and enjoyed sports of all kinds. Mex was a proud member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 224 and the Howard V.F.W. Survivors include his siblings; Margot Robert Smith, Bellevue; Mildred Dr. Edward Orman, Minnesota; Marcia Steve Rienow, Denmark; Muley Marlene French, De Pere; two aunts, Eva Mae French; Gert Campbell; many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Walter (Whoopie) ; sister, Mary Bill Lynch; 2 nephews. Family and friends may call on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, from 4 to 8 P.M. Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 224 service at 7 P.M. Visitation will continue on Monday at the funeral home from 10:30 to 11:30A.M. Funeral services will be held at 11:30A.M. on Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Ted Tromble officiating. Full Military Rites will be accorded after the funeral service. A special thank you to the entire staff of St. Vincent Hospital for all of the care and concern given to Mex. Also to Vietnam Veteran Chapter 224 for their assistance.
