Kenneth D. Christl, age 78, of De Pere, passed away October 3, 2016 at his residence. The son of the late Nicolas and Adeline (Bauche) Christl was born February 7, 1938 (the 38th day of the 38th year as he would tell everyone). After graduating from East Green Bay High School he enlisted and served his country in the United States Marine Corps. After his discharge from the Marines, he started working for Jones Sign, and later went on to farm before retiring as a truck driver. Survivors include his children: Stacy Christl, Rick (Janet) Christl, Dawn (Michael) Blodgett and Jeff Christl; grandchildren: Jessica Christl, Dean (fiancé Stephanie) Christl, Leah Christl, Jacob Anderson and Jared (Emily) Anderson, Jeffrey Christl, Ryan Christl and Sabastian Christl; great-grandchildren: Lucas, Dylan, Marcus, Jack and two babies on the way; many nieces and nephews, other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Peggy as well as his brothers and sisters. Family and friends may visit at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum Chapel on Friday, October 7, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am with the Rev. Paul Pett officiating. Burial will follow in Nicolet Memorial Gardens. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.
