Kenneth Andrew Zessin

Kenneth Andrew Zessin, 35, De Pere, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 16, 2012. He was born in Green Bay on March 16, 1977, the son of Andrew J. and Carol M. (Bartels) Zessin. As a boy, he loved playing little league baseball and football. Kenneth graduated from East High School, Green Bay, where he lettered in football, and also graduated from NWTC-Green Bay. He was employed as a service consultant at Gandrud Chevrolet until he was injured in a boating accident 11 years ago. Kenneth was a baptized, confirmed member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Green Bay. He was a great sportsman, enjoyed deer hunting and fishing, and was a huge Packer fan. Over the past year, Kenneth loved attending little league baseball games, cheering for and encouraging his nephew and his nephew’s team at every game. Surviving are a son, Jared Dunsworth, Fort Stewart, Georgia; a daughter, Emily Jo Dunsworth, Oconto Falls; his mother, Carol (Scott) Engelking, Green Bay; a sister, Paula (Jason) Nissen, De Pere, and their children – Lacey, Jason, Jr., Nickolas, and Allissa; a paternal uncle and aunt, Rev. Larry (Dolores) Zessin, Forestville; a maternal aunt and uncle, Cherie (Thomas) Riemer, Denmark; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Zessin; paternal grandparents: Irvin and Irene Zessin; and maternal grandparents: Henry and Myra Bartels. Relatives and friends of Kenneth Andrew Zessin may call at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Roy Rose officiating.
