Kayleen Menting

March 9, 1946 — December 23, 2021

Kayleen M. (Kersten) Menting, 75, died December 23, 2021 surrounded by her four children who cared for her during her cancer. She cherished the many hours of companionship allowing her to reside at the family home.  Born in Green Bay on March 9, 1946 to John and Irene (Wilz) Kersten during a snowstorm. She graduated from Green Bay West High School. She also enjoyed mind puzzles and up north. Traveling with her kids and cherished friends was her passion, visiting all 50 states and 17 foreign countries. It was a lifetime of adventures with her favorite people.

She married Roger Menting on August 27, 1971 who preceded her in death in 2017. She shares fond memories with Rog and family during Christmas visits, up north, and family reunions. Kay is survived by her children: Kim (Chris) Holzschuh , Joseph (Kaarina) Menting, Michelle (Dan) Schmidt, and Melinda (Chris) Lemke. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Tyler (Jenica) Holzschuh, Megan Holzschuh, Derek Nettekoven, Joey Menting, Saara Rinne, Alexis Schmidt, Luke Schmidt, Elijah Lemke, Kersten Lemke, Barett Lemke, Vivian Lemke and great grandchild: Samuel Holzschuh.

Kayleen is further survived by her adored, brother Jack (Dianna) Kersten and his three boys: John (Geralyn) Kersten, Steven (Kim) Kersten, Mitch (Carrie) Kersten, her nieces and nephews, and Roger’s family: Kinker Kuehl, Tom (Iva) Menting, Lee (Connie) Menting, Bernard (Karen) Menting, Leroy (Debbie) Menting, Leonard (Kathy) Menting and nieces and nephews; especially her god children, Mitch Kersten, Theresa Zimmerman.  Preceded in death: Daniel Sr. Menting and Eunice Kuehl.
