Katie Rose Lancelle

Katie Rose Lancelle, 40, of Denmark, passed away peacefully at home on April 19, 2024 after a lengthy and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Katie, the daughter of Paul and Nancy (Nesvacil) Lancelle, was born on August 31, 1983 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. She left us 134 days before her 41st birthday…which was ALWAYS a cause for massive celebration! She was a proud graduate of the Denmark High School class of 2002, and a further graduate of Syble Hopp School in De Pere. She was a past employee of Friendship Manor and Harmony House in Denmark. In her prime, Katie led a very active social life and was well known and made many friends in the Denmark area and beyond. If you were ever walking the aisles of Target with an infant in your stroller, there’s a good chance you’ve met Katie at some point. Some of her favorite and best memories came during her time served as “coach and manager” of both the Denmark and Kewaunee high school girl’s basketball teams.

In addition to her parents, Katie is survived by three loving (and teasing!) brothers and two wonderful and caring sisters in law, Garrett (Tara), Joe (Brenna) and Max. She is further survived by nieces and nephews Olivia, Gavin, Isabelle, (goddaughter) Jasper and Raena, her “special sisters” Angie Bielinski and Mandy Ruechel and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Nic and Maureen Nesvacil, paternal grandparents, OJ and Laurine Lancelle, uncle Jay Nesvacil, aunt Nora Olsen and her “little friend” Katie C. We also know that she was welcomed at the gates of heaven by some great Moms who also left us too soon….Ellen C. Sara B. Patty Y. and Monnie U.

A celebration of Katie’s life will be held Wednesday, April 24 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Denmark, with visitation from 9:00-11:45 am and the memorial service beginning at 12:00 pm with Pastor Andrew Zoerb officiating.

The family would like to thank the staff at Aurora Hospice for the caring support provided these past several months, and especially Angie Bielinski for always being there. Also, to our network of friends who have paid us visits, brought over food, lent your shoulder and showed your support over the past couple years…it will never be forgotten.
