Kathryn "Kay" Lambert

Kathryn “Kay” Lambert, 88, De Pere, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013. She was born on August 19, 1925 in Carbon, Indiana to the late Henry and Edith (Stough) Spurr. She is a 1944 graduate of Brazil High School. On September 29, 1945 she married Gilbert “Sam” Lambert in Brazil, Indiana. They moved back to the Green Bay area to start their married life. While raising their family, Kay worked as receptionist for Dr. Crawford and then at Bellin Hospital as a secretary to the administrator, holding that position for 15 years. She then began a career at St. Norbert College as executive secretary to the Dean of Student Life. Kay loved working with the students and finally retired at the age of 70, after 25 years of service to the college. Kay and Sam vacationed as a family in their motor home taking in the sights of the United States. She loved growing flowers, keeping her yard and the inside of the house “pristine”. Survivors include her husband, Sam; children, Terry (Linda) Lambert, Abrams; Lisa Noble, Medford; Scott (fiancé, Terry Brosig) Lambert, Green Bay; sister, Dorothy (Jack) Mace, Atlanta; niece, Karen Thompson and her daughter Sherri. Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Saturday, November 2, 2013, from 9:30 am to 11am. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. David Hatch officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
