Kathryn "Katie" Wagner

Kathryn L. “Katie” Wagner, 42, De Pere, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 5, 2012, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born October 17, 1969 in Edina, Minnesota, daughter to Thomas Welch and Sara (Lenmark) Halverson. Katie graduated from Edina High School, Edina, MN, and attended Lowthian College and UW-Stout. She married John Wagner in 1994 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Green Bay. She co-owned and operated The Tile and Stone Gallery in De Pere, with her husband, John. She was a past member of Service League of Green Bay, was an avid golfer at Green Bay Country Club, was a parishioner at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ledgeview, and a great fan of Notre Dame Academy sports. She loved spending time with her family. Katie had a passion for design, gardening, and enjoyed reading, biking, and walking with her dog, Fergie. Katie was a loving daughter, wife, mother and friend. She will be deeply missed by her husband, John; children: Benjamin, Nicholas, Kristopher and Kassandra; father, Thomas Welch; mother, Sara (Bruce) Halverson; two sisters, Teresa (Roman) Blahoski; and Sandra Welch; nieces and nephew: Tommy, Katy, Molly, and Emmy Blahoski, and Amber Welch; and the entire Wagner family. Family and friends may call Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 413 St. John St., Green Bay. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 p.m. Saturday at church, with the Rev. John H. Harper officiating. Cotter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, De Pere, is assisting the family.
