Kathleen Voegtli

January 1, 1942 — January 20, 2012

Kathleen Cecilia Voegtli, age 70, peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Friday, January 20, 2012. Kathy was born on January 1, 1942, in St. Paul, Minnesota to John and Gladys (Rowe) Voegtli, the seventh of their eight children. Kathy was the first child born in St. Paul in that year. Family and friends who knew Kathy well were inspired by her strength, courage, and tenacity. She faced many extraordinary challenges during her lifetime. We celebrate Kathy’s joy for now she has no more pain, sorrow, tears, or sickness. Kathy worked for the Social Security Administration in both Washington, D.C. and Green Bay, WI. She loved her family and especially loved spending time with her nieces and nephews as they were growing up. She had a very special and close friendship with her sister, Paula Kindsgrab and Paula’s husband and sons, Hank, Kurt, and Hans. She is survived by her sisters: Mary Jo (Willard) Janssen, Julie Wanless Zahn, both of De Pere, and Paula (Henry) Kindsgrab of Ashwaubenon; one brother, J. William Voegtli of Easton, MD; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gladys; her sister, Nancy Wessinger; and her brothers, J. Robert and Herbert Voegtli. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Patrick Beno officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Cotter Funeral Home Cremation Services is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. Thankfully your pilgrimage is over, Kathy.
