Kathleen H “Kelly” Clark a.k.a. Mrs. John P. Clark Kelly as she was known to everyone passed away on July 22, 2014 with her sons by her side. Kelly was a resident of Naples, FL and Green Bay, WI. The former Kathleen Stangel was born September 25, 1918 to Jerry and Katherine (Donovan) Stangel in Green Bay, WI., while living in Denmark. The family moved to Manitowoc, WI where Kelly attended grade school and Lincoln High School. After graduating from high school Kelly was very proud of her jobs at the Manitowoc Harold Times and the Navy Shipyard. She met the love of her life in Manitowoc and they were marred on March 15, 1944. He preceded her in death on January 4, 1991. Kelly’s always said her greatest accomplishment was raising her 7 boys and she was immensely proud of them. But she was also an avid golfer and was a member of the Women’s Golf League at Shorewood, Royal Scot and Royal Wood in Naples. She golfed well into her 80’s. She was also the first member of the Clark family to get a hole in one. In addition to golf Kelly loved to play bridge which she did with friends as well as several bridge clubs, Shorewood Bridge Club, De Pere Women’s Club, The Dirty Dozen, as well as Amherst Cove and Royal Wood bridge clubs in Naples. She was also active at St. John the Evangelist Church, St. Peter Church in Naples and Resurrection Catholic Church while her sons were in school. She was also a member of the St. Vincent Women’s Auxiliary. Kelly is survived by her seven sons, J. Patrick Clark,(Susan), Manhatten Beach, CA; Michael (Susan), Mathews, NC; Timothy (Debbie), Lexington, KY; Dennis (Ann), Denver, CO; Jerry (Katie), Minneapolis, MN;, Stephen, Naples, FL/Green Bay; Joseph (Gwen), Oconomowoc, WI. In addition to her sons, she is survived by 13 grandchildren, J.P Clark III, Ross; Katie (Phil), Elizabeth (Rick), Christopher (Suhaila); Courtney, Natalie (Paul), Elizabeth, Nick, Mac, and Riley, 4 great grandchildren, Emma, Ava, Grace and Will; Nieces, nephews as well as her best friend Loraine Clancy. She was predeceased by her husband John, grandson Justin, parents Jerry and Katherine, sister, Delores and brother-in-law, Francis Ploederl. Family and friends may visit at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez, on Friday, July 25, from 10:00am until the time of Mass at 11:00am, with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting.
