Kathleen "Kay" Calewarts

Kathleen (Kay) “Squeak” Calewarts, age 66, of Denmark, passed away Sunday, January 03, 2016. The daughter of LeRoy and Maxine (Dixon) Nelsen, Sr. was born November 18, 1949 in Green Bay. She attended school in Denmark and married Wayne W. Calewarts on January 4, 1969. Kay enjoyed cooking for her family, a good game of cards, spending time with her grandchildren, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Visits with family and friends have been her joy the last year, while at The Odd Fellow Home. Survivors include her children: Chuck Calewarts (special friend Tabitha Vandenwildenberg) and his daughter Brooke Calewarts; Tammy (Scott) Post and children Karlye and Claire Post; Lori (Erik) Johnson and children Evan Calewarts-Vandermause and Kailey Basten; her mother Maxine Nelsen; sisters and brothers: Judy (the late Thomas) Jurczykowski, Mary Sobieck, Richard (Christine) Sobieck, Linda (Eugene) Dahlke, LeRoy (Sandy) Nelsen, Terry (Virginia) Nelsen, Doreen (Marty) Brezinski and Carla Krueger (special friend Bill Denruyter); Wayne’s siblings Barb (the late Denis) Kafka, Mary (Jerry) Thompson and Mike (Kathleen) Calewarts. In addition to her husband, Wayne, Kay was preceded in death by her son Little Wayne, father LeRoy Nelsen Sr., mother-in-law and father-in-law William and Maggie Calewarts, brothers in law: Randy Calewarts, Denis Kafka and Thomas Jurczykowski and a special friend Scott Vandermause. Family and friends may visit at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 County Road R, Denmark, on Friday, January 8, from 3:00pm until the time of service at 7:00pm with Sister Gerri Krautkramer officiating.
