Karen Ann Borman

June 28, 1951 — July 29, 2023

Karen Ann Borman, "Nanny" "Nany," age 72, of De Pere, closed her eyes and drifted away to heaven surrounded by loved ones on July 29, 2023. The daughter of the late Fabian and Margaret Reince was born June 28, 1951. She married Gary Borman on October 3, 1975 at St. Joseph Catholic Church by the Rev. V. Anthony Dolski, a dear family friend. Karen loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. A very spiritual person, Karen taught CCD to second graders at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church for many years. She touched many lives through her work as a playground supervisor and enjoyed genealogy, writing, poetry, music and biking. Karen was a selfless caretaker for many family members and children, living her famous phrase “love is the biggest word of all.”

She is survived by her children: Mike (Leisha) Borman, Beth Borman, Amy (Neil) Vanseveren, Tom Borman; grandchildren: Kaitlyn Borman (her sweet cakes and sunshine), Tyler (Liz) Maurer, Madison Kowalski, Dakota Maurer-Just, Hailey Monroe, Emma Monroe and Bella Borman; great-grandchildren: Maxwell, Theodore and Phrazier; brother: Craig Reince; sister Joy (Rod) Parus; Gary’s siblings: Janice Johnson, Judy (Lowell) Kussow, John “Butch” (Julie) Borman and Joann (Scott) Berken; many nieces and nephews; dear friends: Terry Zegers and Julie Geurts.

She was reunited with the love of her life, her person, Gary; grandson Damian Borman (“My Guy”); her parents, Fabian and Margaret; brother Richard Reince; sister Janice Besson and sister-in-law Shirl Reince.
